Proposed Apartment & Cluster Home Allotment

In addition to the previous post regarding a planned senior living complex adjacent to Spring Hill – as part of the Spring Hill Business Park – the Green Planning & Zoning Commission will be reviewing a proposal for a mixed-use development to be built north of Tabs Drive and extending to I-77. The initial plans call for the construction of a multi-unit apartment complex, cluster housing and office/commercial lots.

While there doesn’t appear to be any immediate impact on Spring Hill with this plan, it is considering future connections to the previously reviewed Spring Hill Business Park and S. Arlington Road.

Residents are encouraged to attend this Wednesday’s (January 18th) Planning & Zoning Commission meeting to learn more about the planned project, as well as ask any additional questions. The meeting will begin at 6:30pm at the City of Green Central Administration building located at 1755 Town Park Blvd.

Residents that are not able to attend the meeting on Wednesday should contact our City Councilman, James V. Ahlstrom, by email at jahlstrom@cityofgreen.org or by phone at 330-329-9664 with any additional questions and concerns.

Annual Meeting – November 29, 2016

In accordance with the Association’s bylaws, a public meeting will take place on Tuesday November 29, 2016 at 7:00pm. The meeting will be held at the John Torok Community & Senior Center. Sign in for the meeting will begin at 6:45pm.

There is still 1 position open on the HOA Board. In addition, the term of the current Treasurer is expiring.  The term of office for each position is 2 years. Nominations and voting will take place at the meeting.

In addition, the Board will discuss amending the Association’s bylaws to prohibit the rental of homes in Spring Hill (all phases) and clarify that residents are responsible for ensuring the trees located between sidewalks and the street are maintained.  The Board urges you to attend this meeting to hear these updates and provide feedback.

No Solicitation Permit – Approved by City of Green

Based on feedback from residents following multiple vendors selling throughout Spring Hill, the HOA Board submitted an application to get a No Solicitation Permit issued by the City of Green. Our permit was recently approved and a formal sign (see below) is being built to be added to the front entry, within the common area on the right side.

Those wishing to sell goods/services in Spring Hill will be required to apply for permission by contacting the HOA Board at the address that is listed on the sign. Residents should use their best judgement in the enforcement of this new restriction for groups such as Green School Fundraisers, Girl Scouts, Veteran Organizations, etc. For those selling that would not fall into these categories and have not been approved by the HOA Board, residents should contact the Summit County Sheriff at their non-emergency number – (330) 643-2181.
