The GlenAllachie Distillery, nestled in the heart of Speyside, has quietly been producing some of Scotland's most complex and rewarding single malt whiskies since 1967. Under the stewardship of master distiller Billy Walker — widely regarded as one of the finest noses in the industry — GlenAllachie has been transformed into a globally celebrated name for exceptional cask-matured Scotch. The 18 Year is the pinnacle of this vision.
Aged for 18 years in a combination of Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, Oloroso sherry casks, and virgin oak, the nose is rich and rewarding — dark chocolate, dried fig, raisin, and black cherry intertwined with toasted oak and fragrant baking spice. On the palate, those bold fruity layers give way to waves of toffee, mocha, and candied orange peel, with a full, velvety mouthfeel that coats every corner. The finish is exceptionally long and warming, with lingering notes of dark fruit, coffee, and gentle smoke.
Best enjoyed neat or with a single drop of water to open the spirit and reveal its extraordinary depth.
